Job description looking for an Apprentice Chef to join their dedicated team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your career within the hospitality and catering industry.
Age from 16+
Duties Include:
Food preparation and presentation
General cleaning duties
Adhering to hygiene standards
Stock rotation and replenishment
Ensuring utensils are clean
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship, you will be mentored in the work place by another experienced Chef and supported by http://www.nltg.co.uk who will help you on your learning and development journey throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Regional Trainer coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.
Future Prospects
This is position for the duration of the apprenticeship programme (14months), with the possibility of permanent employment upon the completion of the apprenticeship programme for the right candidate.
Skills required
We don't require cooking or catering skills, but a desire to work hard, contribute, communicate and collaborate with a team, have a keen eye for detail and a passion to learn about food and gain new skills are essential.
Qualifications required
No formal qualifications are required.
Personal qualities
Presentable, articulate, enthusiastic, assured.
Things to consider
Working in a commercial kitchen is tough! The hours can be unsocial able, and the work can be very demanding. However, the sense of achievement of providing customers with an excellent experience, and getting the instant gratification is hugely rewarding.
Reality check: working 30 hours a week will vary including evenings and weekends
